‘A Quiet Place Day One‘ is about to hit your nearby theatres worldwide. This is a direct prequel of the super-hit saga of “Quiet Place,” and as expected, the installment is already aiming for ruling the opening numbers as well as the previews collections.
The prequel is now officially heading for a record-breaking night of $5M-$6M already. Talking about the figures then it has already surpassed the mark of $4.3M, that was made by the first movie back in 2018. It has also crossed the record of second part ($4.8M) on it’s Thursday preview run.
It should be noted that both Quiet Place and Quiet Place: Part II were directed by John Krasinski, meanwhile ‘A Quiet Place Day One‘ has been directed by none other then our Michael Sarnoski.
Just in case if you don’t know then let me tell you that the prequel tells the story about how the ferocious aliens with the highly sensitive ears landed on Earth in NYC.
‘A Quiet Place Day One‘ Reviews Are Already Shinning Bright!
Well, the movie will be landing for you everywhere in next couple of weeks, but what’s important is the fact which asks us – is this really worth our hype? Long story short, yes it is!
‘A Quiet Place Day One‘ has been certified fresh with a decent rating of 86%, though we can’t deny the fact that it makes it the installment with the lowest ratings of this franchise. Chapter one was securing a very impressive score of 96%, couple up with the sequel that was dominating with 91%.
CinemaScore will be coming tomorrow, so it’d be interesting to watch what it delivers. Just for the sake of this article and to make it more informative, I’d love to add that A Quiet Place earned a B+, while Part II landed an A-. So this prequel indeed have to maintain it’s standards without a second thought.
Critical reviews of Rotten Tomatoes are sitting at 41% at the point, which is not that bad as Costner’s The Postman at 14%. One more thing, I’ve read via many Hollywood outlets that ‘A Quiet Place Day One‘ is tracking an opening of $40M+ for the weekend, and since it is a movie of genre – we can easily watch it happening in reality.
It’s interesting that before this prequel, both chapter 1 and 2 has crossed the $50M+ threshold. Though many different factors were playing a key role, I am still sure that ‘A Quiet Place Day One‘ will also establish some pretty decent milestones.
