Rumors have it, Ariana Grande is in talks for an upcoming live action Disney movie and her character will be remembered for ever !!
In the modern time when we are all living in the world of Tik-Tok and other social media stuffs, Disney is also taking a deep dive to use it as an opportunity for it’s movies.
After getting bombed at box office again and again, finally it seems like the studio is bringing us something which might bring back its domination, and yes, we are talking about a live-action “Hercules” movie.
Ariana Grande In Live-Action Hercules
Now as soon as we hears something related to a live action remake, some woke things comes in our mind that Disney is repeating again and again in recent years. But this time we’ve some cool updates for its cast.
Some very trusted networks like CBR, the Disinsider and many other Hollywood authorities are now claiming that Disney is looking forward to cast Ariana Grande in the movie.
Before you asks anything else, let us tell you that Disney wants Ariana Grande to play the role of Megara in it’s live action Hercules movie, which seems a perfect casting for this beautiful character.
If you don’t know then Megara is a figure in ancient Greek and Roman mythology. She is a Theban woman who is given to Hercules as a bride. The couple have a happy marriage and have several children together.
Megara is also believed to have a beautiful voice, which makes our Ariana Grande a perfect choice for this character. But she is not the only one who is rumored to be casted in the movie.
Some initial reports are also claiming that Disney is also looking forward to cast “Taron Egerton as Hercules” in the movie, and according to us, it’s fair enough.
Taron Egerton is a British actor and singer, known for his roles in the British television series The Smoke, Kingsman: The Secret Service, and the film Rocketman (2019).
The Live Action Hercules Will Be Inspired By Tik-Tok !!
As soon as we hears something related to the geek mythology, the warriors, the queens and the treasures comes in our mind. We assumes that the movie will take place in ancient times and will feature some “old is gold” themed classics.
But here’s is the twist, Disney is bringing some modern touch in it’s Live Action Hercules movie which can even change the whole perspective of this tale as well.
While very few of Disney’s live-action remakes have been anything other than shot-for-shot remakes of their animated counterparts, the director Joe Russo has teased that “Hercules will be experimental with Tik-Tok being listed as an influence for the film’s musical nature.“
Tik-Tok has garnered a huge amount of popularity in recent years, and we all consumes it’s content at some point in our daily life, but we could never imagine it as an inspiration for something which is based on ancient times.
Hercules has nothing to do with modern era, the tale is known for the wars, revenge, love, hate and glory. So using Tik-Tok as an inspiration seems very awkward and unique at the same time.
But Disney along with the director Joe has some different plans and he claimed it in his recent interview:-

Audiences today have been trained by TikTok, This is what their expectations about musical looks like and feels like, so it can be a lot of fun and might help us in pushing the boundaries a little bit on how you execute a modern musical.
So it means that we will indeed get tons of new musicals in the movie, but most of them are going to be some kind of remixes or audio edits that we usually listens to on our social media.
Also some officials have claimed that there will be a very little or no proper music, as most of them will be around a minute long remixes, which is really a very short period of time to deliver a proper classic song.
How Megara Is A Perfect Disney Character For Ariana Grande ?
As soon as we hears something like a “perfect Disney character” many popular tales and their heroes appears in our mind. The most common ones are “Elsa“, “Moana“, “Rapunzel“, “Snow White” and more.
Most of these characters are the perfect idols for the younger generation, especially girls as they showcased the “women empowerment” through their stories, which is quite impressive. But things are not same with our Megara.
She is indeed not a perfect idol for the younger generation, but she has a lot of other qualities which makes her one of the most beloved characters.
Megara is the woman who literally sold her soul to the underworld god for a guy. She is indeed far from a modern role model like “Elsa” or a feminist icon like “Snow White” or “Aurora” . But she is one of the richest, most developed characters in Disney’s history, one who we don’t talk about nearly enough.
She’s sarcastic and carries herself with an air of love. Afterall, how can we forget the moment in the animated “Hercules” movie where she introduced herself — “Megara. My friends call me Meg. At least they would if I had any friends.“
The choices that she makes are solely her own. Megara’s’s most important lines take place when she’s fighting off the centaur named Nessus. While Hercules swoops in, she tells him, “I’m a damsel. I’m in distress. I can handle this. Have a nice day.“
Indebted to Hades, Meg leads Hercules straight to Pain and Panic, who pose as innocent boys. Her motivation for doing so is complicated as she had sold her soul to Hades to save her unfaithful lover.
So helping Hades and his unsavory plans would earn her freedom. Still, Meg has a change of heart because of her feelings for Hercules. She sacrifices herself and saves him from a crashing pillar, which also shows her braveness and empowerment.
So after going through all these qualities, it would be unfair to call her as a villain, she is a character, wrapped in pain, but shows love to others and at the end, looses herself but achieves the true destiny.
When Is The Movie Coming And What’s The Conclusion?
No other updates are out yet but as of now, Ariana Grande is busy in filming the movie “Wicked” and no official news about her casting is out yet by the Disney studio.
However, these are so strong that it’s just a matter of time before it becomes a reality. And we would love to watch our Ariana in this beautiful and modern tale of Hercules and Megara.
In short, finally after back back woke attempts, it seems like Disney is finally doing some justice with the casting of it’s Live Action movie and we should just hope for its proper theme because we don’t really want to consume anything in excess which is related to Tik-Tok.
The movie might get release by the end of 2025, but we should wait a bit more to hear something officially by the studio or the actors themselves. Also the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike may affect the production plans of this movie, which is a bit disappointing.
But thing is confirmed, we are going to watch something really interesting and unique for sure, and it can become a big success if it didn’t got affected by the woke propaganda of Disney.
