Despite the ongoing writer’s and actor’s strike in the Hollywood, these new updates will make you happy. We knows how these current scenarios are making a very bad impact on almost every other Hollywood movies or TV shows.

Almost every second project is getting delayed again and again and we were expecting the same treatment with our Sonic The Hedgehog 3. Luckily, some official reports are now revealing that the Paramount studio has officially entered into it’s filming process.

Yes, it’s true. Paramount studio has officially begun the filming process without any actor. That might confuse you a little bit but according to these updates, the studio is currently busy in filming all those scenes where there is no need of any kind of actors. It mainly includes all those sequences where our Hedgehog gang in in action.

Recently there were some images and footages which were leaked online directly from the sets of Sonic The Hedgehog 3 and all of those images were showing the dummies of our main protagonists such as Sonic, Tails and others.

This update matters a lot because it can help the studio in avoiding any type of possible delay of the third installment. The reports further claims that the studio might wrap up it’s phase one of filming by the end of this year and hopefully will begin the work with the original actors and cast members.

Now some latest Hollywood Insiders are also claiming that the ongoing strike might end by the late 2023, and if this is true then we can get the whole cast by the end of this year along with the writers. It will eventually help many studios including the Paramount in resuming their production processes.

Since the first round of filming will get finish by this year itself, we can expect Sonic The Hedgehog 3 to land on it’s scheduled time, even in the worst case as well!

Sonic The Hedgehog 3 Will Have Big And Surprising Cameos!

As soon as we starts talking about this epic Sonic The Hedgehog saga, the very first thing which comes in our minds are it’s outstanding cameos and characters.

Sonic The Hedgehog gave us the cameo of Tails by the end of the first film and teased the possibilities for the sequel. In the same way, we got Knuckles in Sonic The Hedgehog 2 along with a short yet solid cameo of our Shadow by the end of the movie.

So now we knows that Shadow will make his first appearance in Sonic The Hedgehog 3, but are we going to see any other cameo? Well, the new reports are saying Yes!

According to these new rumors, the studio is again planning to introduce us with a surprising character other then the Shadow. The very first name which is leading this race is none other then our Amy Rose, and why not, after all she plays a very important role in the games also.

The reports further claims that in the third movie, Sonic and gang will get in trouble because the powers of Shadow are going to be unmatched. That’s where our Amy will make her debut in the franchise along with a device which will ultimately help our gang in tracking down the threat of Shadow.

The second big character who might make into the third movie is Silver The Hedgehog. He may appear as a cameo by the end of the third film in order to set up the fourth part, but the studio might change it’s plans as well.

However, we should keep in mind that these are just some initial reports or rumors, so nothing has been confirmed officially by the studio, but if they decides to move forward with their traditional style of introducing a new character in the movie along with a cameo by the end of the film, then we are sure that we will be getting not one, but two cameos or characters in Sonic The Hedgehog 3.

Sonic The Hedgehog 3 Plotline : What Will Happen In The Third Part?

Sonic movies and games are known for their perfect and continuous storyline. Sometimes it’s Shadow while other times it’s Dr. Eggman who creates a lot of mess in this universe.

In Sonic The Hedgehog 2, we saw how Eggman comes up with a new hedgehog named Knuckles who was way powerful then our Sonic, but by the end of the movie, things gone wrong and Knuckles moves forward to join the gang of our blue buddy.

The second movie was a straight success, however it also showed us an unexpected ending by killing our Eggman, who was of course a villain aka bad guy, but we still loves to watch him. After all he is the one who has contributed a lot in making this franchise as one of the most memorable one.

However, there are many theories circulating online which are claiming that Dr. Eggman is not dead yet, because the studio has never showed us any type of body or something to support the death. But those are just some random wild fan theories, so we will not dive deep into them.

As of now, the sad truth is that Dr. Eggman is finally dead in the ongoing saga, and we knows that who is going to take over his space. It’s Shadow of course!

It has been confirmed that Shadow The Hedgehog will me making his debut in this saga, but what exactly might happen in the third part? Well, thanks to various Insiders and other official cast members who are now giving us many hints about Sonic The Hedgehog 3.

In an interview with the ComicBook.com, Fowler said, “I’m hesitant to go into too much detail, only because it’s obviously still very early. I will say that we are teasing a character that I’m incredibly excited about. It’s very personal to me as a fan“.

Also O’Shaughnessey has revealed to Digital Spy exactly what he want to watch in the third film. “I hope we get to see more and more of him, and see where his gadgets can take everybody.” He continued, “I think [Robotnik] should get into nanotechnology. I’d like his machines to be released in an aerosol that can be ingested in the human body and turn people into him.“

Apart from these little hints, almost everything is kept under wraps and will get clear with time, so it would be better to just leave it on where it has left us by the end of Sonic The Hedgehog 3. However, these little updates and hints are promising us an epic installment and we can easily set our hopes high!

Sonic The Hedgehog 3 Release Date : When Is The Movie Coming?

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 will be speeding into cinemas on December 20, 2024, assuming there aren’t any delays.

This was confirmed in early August 2022, marking a slightly longer wait than fans are used to for Sonic’s big-screen adventures.

It’s a change from the previous two movies, which were released in the earlier part of the year (February 2020 and April 2022, respectively). The box-office success of those movies shows that a Christmas release makes total sense.

If everything goes well and the strike ends by the end of this year, we can then easily speculate it to land just on time!

The Cast : Who Is Returning?

We haven’t had any official confirmations of returning cast for Sonic the Hedgehog 3 yet, but that doesn’t mean we can’t make some educated guesses.

Ben Schwartz will, of course, be back as Sonic and he’ll likely be joined again by Colleen O’Shaughnessey as Tails and Idris Elba as Knuckles. We also knows that Jim Carrey has officially announced his retirement and assuming that he is no more in this saga, we should just move on from his era.

Also the producers Toby Ascher and Neal H Moritz have said, “we wouldn’t even try to recast the role. Jim Carrey is always a member of the Sonic family and he’ll always have a place in these movies and TV shows as long as he’d like to be around.“

In terms of the other human characters, expect to see James Marsden and Tika Sumpter back as Sonic’s ‘parents’ Tom and Maddie Wachowski, Lee Majdoub as Robotnik’s long-suffering employee Agent Stone and Adam Pally as Green Hills deputy sheriff Wade Whipple.

The voice actor for Shadow The Hedgehog is not confirmed yet but the studio has some big shoes to fill. Also if they moves forward with some new characters and cameos, which is of course confirmed, then be ready to get some more new faces in the cast.

We could also see Tom Butler back as Commander Walters since GUN might play a bigger part in the third movie with Shadow’s arrival, while Natasha Rothwell could return as Maddie’s older sister Rachel and Shemar Moore as her fiancé Randall.
