Blue Beetle, Shazam: Fury of the Gods, The Flash, all these movies were produced by Warner Bros-DC, and none of them performed well on box office. However, now it feels like 2023 is finally going to treat the Warners with some profit.
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is eyeing at a solid collection of $50 million over 5 days which is followed by the Christmas Day, at least that is where tracking had it.
CEO David Zaslav can finally smile as the movie is not only performing well, but it is also dominating over it’s rival movies which includes projects like ‘The Color Purple‘, ‘Migration‘ and ‘Wonka‘. The Friday collection for Aquaman 2 was $14 million which adds up to the total of $30 million for the course of 3 days.
Now since the Holidays season is on, movie-goers will be looking at theatres to celebrate their time with families and friends, so it is obvious that we might see a peak in this collection for sure.
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is currently running in 3706 theatres and these numbers might increase in upcoming days, especially after looking at the patterns, many new theatres might bring it in their menu in order to earn some revenue during this high-paying season.
The sequel is securing an audience score of 78% at Rotten Tomatoes followed by the critics score of 36%. The audience score, especially, is looking very promising because it is enough to show the satisfaction rate which is being provided by this sequel.

The Present Conditions Of Box Office Is ‘Easy’!
How Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom will perform in upcoming days on box office largely depends upon it’s rivals. Migration, a one of it’s kind animated movie which is being produced by the illumination studio, is at $18 million with a 4 days run.
Meanwhile, The Color Purple is not in a race, however, the movies like Anyone But You might make some impact on the performance of Aquaman 2. Produced by Columbia Pictures, Anyone But You is featuring Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell. It has already earned $1.2M at 2,723 locations that began at 2PM Thursday. The movie is expected to do between $7M-$10M over 4-days.
The one advantage that Aquaman 2 has is that it is the bigger marquee draw over the holiday weekend, however, Warner Bros is in competition with itself as the other golden ticket at the box office, Wonka, made $4.2M at 4,203 yesterday –almost as much as Aquaman 2, for a first week’s haul of $57.5M.

Well, it feels like a lot is left for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom and things will get clear by the end of the final week of 2023. Still we can safely claim that the Aquaman sequel will earn a good profit while officially ending the DCEU.
