Barbie Movie Is Coming Online Starting From This Date!

Barbie has smashed many records on the worldwide box office and has earned over $1 billion, which makes it the highest grossing movie of 2023. Now finally after a long wait, the movie is coming straight on digital platforms!

The Barbie Movie Was About To Land On The YouTube Movies!

As soon as we talks about the VOD service, YouTube movies comes in our mind and Barbie movie was also getting the same treatment from the studio. In fact, the movie was almost made available to purchase on YouTube!

It was the last week of August when YouTube announced the streaming dates for Barbie movie. According to the updates, the movie was set to land on YouTube movies starting from September 2023 and everything was looking fine.

However, Warner Bros decided to push these dates. That’s why YouTube Movies has updated its preorder Barbie page, adjusting the “Expected” release date from September 12 to “Not announced.”

This is a clear indication that Barbie will not be made available on YouTube for quite some time and there are no signs pointing to when its landing date on the platform might be.

It doesn’t means that the movie will never land on YouTube, but it seems like Warner Bros has some different plans for it. As per some latest reports, it is being said that the Barbie Movie will become available to purchase on YouTube movies starting from the mid of October 2023, which makes it to land closer to the Holidays season.

Warner Bros. Is Making Some Changes In It’s Plans!

Unlike its DC bombs like Shazam! Fury of the Gods, The Flash, and Blue Beetle, Warner Bros. is set to continually promote audiences to go see Barbie in theaters.

The studio is loosing millions of dollars on the box office because of it’s bad marketing strategy, inconsistent storyline and various other factors. The studio is having a very tough time and in this exhausting time, The Barbie Movie is proving to be a game changer for the studio.

By dominating over the Box Office for almost two months, it has given a good chance to the studio to rethink about t’s strategies and come up with an interesting and unique idea.

In fact, if you don’t know then starting from the September 22, Barbie is being re-released in IMAX and will feature new post-credits footage, which can eventually help them in earning some extra amount of cash.

Another important note is that as of weekend six, Barbie was still playing in roughly 3,900 theaters North American theaters, the most of any other film (per Box Office Pro). So it all says a lot about the plans of Warner Bros.

That means, we should not expect it to land on digital platform before the first week of October (at the earliest).
