Dune Part 2: New Release Date, Trailer And Everything You Need To Know

Hollywood is full of surprises and a new surprise is given by the popular Warner Bros Studios regarding it’s Dune Part 2 release date. When is the movie coming, what is the plotline and what other updates has been released by the studio, you’ll get everything here.

Dune Part 2 Will Not Release In 2023 Anymore !!

We knows that Dune Part 2 was initially set to hit theatres starting from the first week of November, 2023. The movie has completed everything and the studio was also about to start it’s marketing, but now a new update has changed everything.

Legendary Entertainment and Warner Bros’ anticipated sequel Dune Part Two from Denis Villeneuve is moving off its November 3 theatrical release to March 15, 2024, due to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA Strike.

However, Dune Part Two is the only movie which has been pushed into 2024 as we are still getting other movies on time. It includes Wonka which is set to hit theatres starting from December 15, DC’s Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom (December 20) and The Color Purple (December 25).

What Is Revealed About The Plot So Far ?

Since the studio has already released two official trailers, we now knows that exactly what is going to happen in Dune Part 2.

The first trailer shows that Paul is assimilating with the Fremen and is learning how to ride the ginormous sandworms. He was also seen spending some time with Chani, and preparing for the inevitable war between the Fremen and House Harkonnen.

The second trailer, which was released in June has revealed dozens of new clips from the sequel. It also reveals the return of Gurney Halleck who was supposed to be dead. Later in the trailer we saw multiple large-scale fighting scenes and the introduction of Emperor Shaddam IV, which is being played by the brilliant Christopher Walken.

Rest of the plot is still hidden to create some hype among the fans and we also don’t want our movie to get spoiled in the trailers and teasers.

Who Is In The Newest Cast Of Dune Part 2 ?

While the movie has been pushed into 2024, the studio has officially released a full list of cast which shows some of the old faces of this franchise. It includes:-

• Timothee Chalamet as Paul Atreides
• Rebecca Ferguson as Lady Jessica
• Josh Brolin as Gurney Halleck
• Stellan Skarsgård as Baron Vladimir
• Javier Bardem as Stilgar
• Dave Bautista as Glossu Rabban
• Zendaya as Chani
• Charlotte Rampling as Gaius Helen

All of these mentioned actors are reprising their roles in Dune Part Two respectively. However, we are also getting some new faces in the sequel, it involves:-

• Florence Pugh as Emperor’s daughter
• Austin Butler as Baron Harkonnen’s young nephew
• Christopher Walken as the Emperor
• Lea Seydoux as Lady Margot
• Souheila Yacoub as a Fremen fighter.

Will We Get A New Trailer For Dune Part 2 Soon?

Now since the movie is no longer releasing in 2023, the studio will have to change it’s whole marketing strategy. Normally the movie starts getting TV Spot teasers two to three months earlier from the scheduled release date, but now we may get a full length third trailer as well.

Since there is more then six months from now for the release of the movie, it would be too early to start releasing short TV Spots teasers. But this may also make a bad impact on the marketing of the movie, so to avoid it, Warner Bros may release a new trailer on somewhere around Halloween.

In this way, they will revive the movie and will get a chance to start it’s active promotion of Dune Part Two. So a lot is going to happen in the near future of Warner Bros as tons of movies are set to land within next few months.
