Disney CEO Wants A Sequel!
Although not officially announced, fans are already anticipating a sequel to continue the narrative of this extraordinary family.
And the very first update which indicates a sequel is that the CEO itself is waiting for Encanto 2. In one of his interview, Disney CEO Bob Iger said that he wants to turn “Encanto” into a full-blown franchise.
Which means that he is already looking forward for more Encanto movies and spinoffs. Despite not yet receiving the green light, some new rumors are already circulating that “Encanto 2” is already on its way.
This is because in a recent telivision show , Actor John Leguizamo, who voiced Bruno Madrigal, has hinted about a sequel in a funny manner.
When asked about a sequel , he said that “all we do is talk about Bruno in the future“. This was a kind of humerous response from the star but we should take it as a hint for the future of this franchise.
Apart from this , we knows that disney is moving back towards it’s proven franchise. The studio is developing sequels like Frozen 3, Toy Story 5, Zootopia 2 and Inside out 2 .
So it’s no wonder that they have a good amount of stories to tell us , so Encanto 2 might play a vital role for the future of the studio . Especially when they are looking for some big hits, Encanto 2 might be on the list as well.
Encanto 2 Release Date : When To Expect The Sequel?
Now the final update is regarding the release date of the sequel. According to some new release calendar of the studio, they are moving forward to release 3 movies in the November of 2024 to 2026.
Two of the given dates should be reserved by Frozen 3 & Zootopia 2, which means, the third date might go to Encanto 2 !!
So we can get a sequel by November of 2026. In short, we should stay ready to hear something officially about a sequel directly from the studio very soon, because Disney is not hesitating in bringing back its proven franchises.
