After watching Spider-Man No Way Home, we knew that the future of this legendary character is going to change a lot. Peter now knows his faith and his life is going to take a wild turn in this ongoing saga for sure, so it becomes very important to develop a perfect script for the fourth film.

Now luckily, the latest news that we are getting is related to the script of Spiderman 4. It was Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers who wrote the outstanding storyline for “Homecoming“, “Far From Home“, and “No Way Home“. We were sure that both of these legends will return to pen the story of Spider-Man 4 and guess what happened!

According to these reports, “the script and the storyline of Spider-Man 4 is looking four times better then the No Way Home. The movie is impressively dealing with tons of emotions and bunch of surprises.“

It all says a lot about the future of our Spider-Man because we knows that he is going to play a very important role in the future of MCU. If these reports are true (of course it is), then we should get ready to feel some hot vibes in the theatres once again.

While some other reports are also claiming the fact that MJ is again going to be the main love interest of our Peter in Spider-Man 4. It means that we will be getting some emotional and lovely moments surrounding our two main characters in this movie once again.

What Is The Release Date Of Spider-Man 4?

In the past, there have been two years between each Spider-Man movie within the MCU, but this time, it’ll be a bigger gap for the next film. That’s mainly because of the revised schedule of both Marvel and Sony timelines.

If Sony will follow it’s traditional release schedule of Marvel dedicated movies, then they have to release Spider-Man 4 in June of 2024, but this would place the film one month after Deadpool 3 and two months prior to Captain America : Brave New World. This feels like an overload of films, even for a cinematic universe as chockablock as the MCU.

The preparation for the film is also affected by the writers’ strike in Hollywood. Also the actor Tom Holland is on a one year break from his acting which will again make a deep impact on the plannings of the fourth movie.

In an interview with Variety, Holland said:-

I can’t talk about that, but I can say that we have been having meetings. We’ve put the meetings on pause in solidarity with the writers. There’s been multiple conversations had, but at this point it’s very, very early stages.

All this to say that, as of writing, it’s hard to guess when the fourth instalment will be out. If both Sony and Marvel goes with their newly updated timelines, then we may get Spider-Man 4 by late 2025 and that makes even more sense when we say that ‘Avengers The Kang Dynasty‘ will release in 2026.

What Is Going To Be The Plotline?

Does No Way Home sets up a sequel? The short answer is ‘not really’. It was confirmed that Spider-Man No Way Home will act like ‘The Endgame‘ for this character. The climax effectively wraps up the trilogy and sets a blank slate for the future.

Recently, Kevin Feigi said:

We have the story. We have big ideas for that, and our writers are just putting pen to paper now.

It all indicates that the studio is planning something big for this franchise. One potential option is to deliver a long-awaited battle between Spider-Man and Venom on the big screen, and after watching the ending of Venom 2, we knows that a battle is definitely going to happen in the near future.

Also by the end of No Way Home, a piece of the Venom symbiote is left behind, so it could take over somebody in the MCU and whats better then the Tom Holland lead Spider-Man.

It is also possible that Marvel can bring it’s own Venom variant with that symbiote and if they moves forward with it, then we may see some big changes in the timelines and stories of both Sony and the Marvel universes.

Also we’d be surprised if the MCU set up its own Venom as Tom Hardy is so popular with fans. So we imagine if the face-off is going to happen, they’ll manufacture a way for either Spidey to cross into Venom’s universe, or vice-versa.

Who Is In The Cast Of Spider-Man 4?

Initially, Tom Holland is not sure about his future as Spider-Man. At the time of No Way Home, he said, “Maybe it is time for me to move on. I have to take Peter Parker into account as well, because he is an important part of my life,” and added: “If I’m playing Spider-Man after I’m 30, I’ve done something wrong.“

However, he then clarified those quotes, saying: “I don’t know what the future of Spider-Man looks like. “I don’t know whether I’m going to be a part of it. Spider-Man will always live on in me and I know that [producer] Amy [Pascal] and the studio are keen to figure out what the next chapter of Spider-Man looks like.

“If that happens to be with me, then that’s very exciting but, you know, if it’s time for me to walk away then I’ll do so proudly.”

So it all indicates towards the uncertainties regarding the future face behind the mask of Spider-Man. However, in some recent reports, it has been said that Tom Holland is going to reprise his role as Peter once again in Spider-Man 4, which sounds quite interesting.

But there are some initial rumors which says that Tom Holland’s Peter might move towards the role of a mentor for a new Spider-Man like Miles Morales. However neither the actor not any other official has confirmed these rumors, so we should take it as a pinch of salt.

The other factor which is also affecting the casting of the future movie is the ending scene of No Way Home, because now, nobody knows that Peter is Spider-Man or who is he.

Still we can say that Zendaya and Jacob Batalon would return as MJ and Ned, respectively, along with Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan. One person who definitely won’t be in it is Marisa Tomei, as Aunt May is tragically killed by the Green Goblin.

However, the multiverse does offer the possibility of an alternate Aunt May (like the alternate Spider-Men), but we feel this won’t be done as it may create tons of loopholes in the plot of this hero.

It’s also unlikely that Andrew Garfield or Tobey Maguire would return, again, to their roles, given that their brief but meaningful appearance in No Way Home is rectified as the plot reseals the multiverse up.

The reason why we all loves this character is none other then the legendary Tobey Maguire. Back in 2000’s, he was the one who brought the whole new superhero vibes into existence and started a domination of these Marvel stories.

After the end of the legendary Tobey’s era, Andrew Garfield took the responsibility and made a special place in our hearts. After watching two epic The Amazing Spider-Man movies and three classic Spider-Man movies, we were wondering about their future.

There was a lot to discover in the story of Andrew’s Spider-Man and we were sure about a third movie, but unfortunately, it never came into the reality.
