Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse is among the most awaited animated movies of recent times and why not, afterall it’s previous part was featuring tons of Spider-People from hundreds of different dimensions. Both Marvel and Sony are working very actively on this project and with no wonder, we are getting many new reports and updates which are enough to make you feel excited.
Now reportedly, some of the very authentic and latest reports are indicating towards the cameo of two unexpected characters from ‘No Way Home’ that might create an entire new saga in the Spider-Verse, and here’s everything that you need to know about this upcoming masterpiece!
Two No Way Home ‘Villains’ Will Appear In Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse!
As per the Marvel insider named ‘Marvel Updat3s‘ on X (formerly known as Twitter), Sony studios is looking forward to introduce two new but previously known faces in this spider-verse. At first, you might think about some other Spider-People such as Toby or Andrew, however, we are talking about the ‘villains’, that makes this report even more interesting.
As per his latest post, Spider-Man Beyond The Spider-Verse will feature Electro and Sandman in this ongoing saga. Both of these characters were playing a key role in Spider-Man No Way Home and we were already expecting their return at some point in the near future, however, nobody was expecting them in this animated saga.
Despite these latest reports, neither Marvel nor Disney has confirmed anything about it, that’s why we should take it with a grain of salt.
If you don’t know then Marvel Updat3s (the insider we are talking about) is known for his validity, authenticity and exclusiveness. It is not a first time when this page is speculating something surprising about any Marvel project, it has done this many times and with many other projects but surprisingly, almost 80% of it’s speculations turns into reality.

Now we have to see that at what point will Sony showcase both of these fan-favorite characters. It is possible that Miles might face them off while exploring the timelines in order to save his loved ones. What Will Happen In Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse?
The official synopsis for this part is still unknown, however, we do have some plot details that might happen.
By the end of Spider-Man Across The Spider-Verse, we saw how Miles decides to move forward in his mission to save his father’s life because Spot wants to kill him at any cost, however, Spider-Man 2099 is the one who wants to stop Miles because he is trying to change the faith of a ‘Canon Event’. The chase begins and Miles, accidentally, enters into Dimension 42.
It is revealed that the Peter of that dimension is now a Prawler, and on the other hand, Gwen decides to team up with some other Spider-People in order to stop Spider-Man 2099. That’s the point where Across The Spider-Verse ends while setting up a perfect cliffhanger for Beyond The Spider-Verse. Hence, we can easily speculate the return of these characters in a new dimension, probably Dimension 42, where Miles might continue his mission to find a way for stopping Spot.
Few months back, some images were leaked online straight from the storyboard of Beyond The Spider-Verse which were revealing the immense powers of Spot. It means that we might get a chance to watch some intense fights and maybe some unexpected deaths in the movie.
All we knows is that Miles will definitely save his father, however, these are still our wild speculations and you should take it with a grain of salt.
What Is The Release Date Of Beyond The Spider-Verse?
Next comes the release schedule and with no surprise, this movie will not release in 2024, as of now atleast. Due to the actor’s strike that were taking place in the Hollywood last year, almost every other project has been delayed for indefinite amount of time and Beyond The Spider-Verse is one of them.
The movie was set to hit theatres by June 2024, but now some latest reports and other Hollywood outlets are confirming that it won’t release before 2025 (at the earliest).
No solid updates about the casting and trailers are out yet which also marks the tag of ‘confirmation’ on these reports and hence, we have to wait a bit more to get a glimpse of this epic project. Chris Miller revealed that production on the Spider-Verse sequel officially began after the Hollywood strikes came to an end, saying:
“We’re in production…we’re really excited about where the story is going, I think it’s a very satisfying conclusion to the trilogy and it’s as emotional as the other ones…we’re knee-deep in it.“
