Cars 4 Is Officially Under Works At Pixar

Disney is on a wild ride of making more and more sequels, and so it’s associated companies like Pixar. Both studios are bringing back their proven franchises where Disney is working actively upon Zootopia 2, Frozen 3 and 4.

On the other hand, Pixar is developing sequels for Toy Story 4 and Inside Out. Recently, there were some reports that was claiming the development of Incredibles 3, and now we’ve got latest updates about Cars 4.

The updates are coming from The Late Brake Show and now the talks about Cars 4 are igniting on social media once again. During the conversation with the host Jonny Smith, Jay Ward, the creative director of Cars project has admitted that more Cars projects are down the line. He’s admitted that Pixar and company is officially working upon some Cars spinoffs or other stuffs since a while and they can deliver us something unexpected in the near future.

However, Ward has also revealed that the audience should not expect much atleast for the next few years, and that makes sense because we knows that animated sequels takes time.

Still if Ward knows something that we don’t, then it feels like Disney is ready to bring back it’s every single IP which is well established in this animated universe of box office. It also opens the doors for the sequels of Moana, Tangled and other Pixar movies such as Luca.

When Cars was first released on box office, nobody was believing on it’s potential, not even Pixar itself. But when it grossed more then a billion dollars on box office, we knew that Pixar has gotten some diamonds in their pockets. Now the company was struggling for last few years and it’s the golden opportunity for them to cash-in these proven IP’s.

Bob Iger Is Open For More Sequels!

Earlier in 2023, Disney CEO Bob Iger confirmed that he is open for more sequels of their IP’s. As per his comments, if the company and it’s team of creative department will feel like they should move forward with one more part, then they will definitely deliver us a sequel.

It was him who first announced Toy Story 5, Frozen 3 and Zootopia 2. Now we are moving ahead in 2024 and while Pixar’s Inside Out 2 will be releasing on June 14, 2024, Elio is the only known original project for 2025. So if they are really developing a unique idea for Cars 4, then Bob Iger will definitely give them a green flag.

It’s upto Disney because in the end, we are just speculating about their future and this company is full of surprises. Nobody was expecting Frozen 4, but the studio has already announced the fourth film way before the release of Frozen 3. In the same way, the ending of Toy Story 4 was concluding this story very beautifully, but now we are about to get it’s fifth installment. In the same way, the ending of Cars 3 was perfect, however, it also opens the doors for more spinoff shows and even full length movies.
